About Browse Check
What it does
Photograph a piece of browse or type a plant name, and Browse Check identifies the plant and tells you which of your animals can safely eat it — and which cannot.
How verdicts are made
Your animal list is sent along with the photo or name to an AI model that identifies the plant and assesses it per animal, taking digestion type into account — ruminant, hindgut fermenter, folivore, parrot, tortoise and so on. Every animal gets its own verdict:
- Safe — well-documented safe browse.
- Caution — small amounts only, mechanically risky, or poorly documented for that species.
- Not safe — a real poisoning risk.
Your data
No account, no server storage. Your animal list and recent checks live only in this browser on this device, and clearing your browser data removes them.
Important
Browse Check is decision support, not veterinary advice. Plant identification from a photo can be wrong, and toxicity data for exotic species is often incomplete. Always confirm with your veterinary and nutrition team before offering new browse.
